Welcome to the Official Site for Powburn Adventure Centre
Built as the Jubilee Memorial Hall for the
village of Powburn near Wooler, Northumberland, the premises were
acquired by Tynemouth Scouts in 1974 and developed as an outdoor centre.
The centre is located just north of the village of Powburn in
Northumberland (approximately 40 miles north of Newcastle), near Wooler.
It is surrounded by unspoilt countryside with easy access to the Cheviot
Hills as well as Bamburgh and Holy Island on the coast.
